Max B. Medary, MD

Dr. Medary attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy prior to graduating from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He completed general neurosurgery training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He completed a research fellowship in neurotrauma at Cornell University in New York, New York.  In addition, he completed fellowship training in T. Fukushima's Keyhole Microsurgical Techniques while at Allegheny General Hospital.

Dr. Medary is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is Chairman of Surgery at Dr P Phillips Hospital.  He is also President/CEO of Greater Orlando Neurosurgery & Spine and President and Founder of Orlando Neurosurgical Foundation, NPO. 

Dr. Medary has special interest in Skull Base Surgery, such as acoustic neuromas and pituitary tumors, Complex Spine Disease and Cerebrovascular Disorders such as aneurysms and carotid stenosis.  He has authored multiple publications, presentations and textbook chapters, including Carotid Endartectomy in Youmans Neurological Surgery multiple volume reference text. 

Dr. Medary is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgery, the Acoustic Neuroma Foundation, the Pituitary Network Association, the British Acoustic Neuroma Association.
